Dying Fetus - Nocturnal Crucifixion

  • Oct. 14th, 2009 at 5:21 PM
Blinding my eyes,
The light of indecency
Exalted demise, morbid complexity
Walking the path, demonic heredity
Reaching the end, it opens before me
Unyielding to the astral powers
I foresee the unknown
Eternally they are chanting
Immortally they are spawning
As I watch they stare at me
A gaze of pure insanity
Immersed in darkness so completely
I find myself alone
Drinking from Ancient Waters
I become one with them
Unholy shrouds
Incantations shower me
Unveiling the secrets to truth
Why I must die
Preach and prophecize
Believers are taught that their
Souls are forgiven
Await the false rebirth
Feeling the pain inside from out
Reliving the past once again
Lascivious lust, I want to believe
Succumb to the horrid disease
Stagnant and old the prophecy told
Undying the books deceive
Forgotten and spent,
Rotting alone
Forever to suffer and grieve

Mina asambleaza cele doua parti, din punct de vedere stilistic si timbral, intrun tot armonios.O compozitie muzicala, atat de delicata, este pacat sa o ciopartim. Sa ascultam "da capo al fine" aceasta capodopera italiana!Mina assembles timbral and stylistic, the two parts, into an harmonious whole. It's a shame to break this composition, so delicate. Bo Selecta back for Jackson show

  • Aug. 8th, 2009 at 11:00 PM
Jackson was a regular character on Bo' Selecta

Comedian Leigh Francis is to bring back Bo Selecta for a one-off Michael Jackson special, Channel 4 has said.

Bo Selecta Presents Cha'Mone: A Tribute to Michael Jackson will be a spoof "chronological look at Michael Jackson's life".

Francis will don rubber masks to portray Jackson as well as some of his friends - including Uri Geller and David Gest - for the one-hour special.

There will also be celebrity guests on the show, due to air on E4 this autumn.

"We're thrilled to have Leigh resurrect Bo Selecta for a very special send-off and send-up," said E4 controller Angela Jain.

"This national treasure and icon will be making an affectionate and, no doubt, hilarious tribute."

Francis said Jackson's death was "like the death of superman, or the realisation that there was no such thing as Santa Claus".

Francis' spoof version of Jackson was featured throughout the three series of Bo Selecta, which ran from 2002 to 2004.

The show also featured surreal send-ups of stars including Craig David, Will Young and former Spice Girls singer Melanie Brown.

Peg'o my heart solo a la Cliff Gallup - Epiphone Broadway (L5)

Yes It certainly is good for Jazz/Blues and rock'n'roll. Overall pretty good middle of the road guitar based on the legendary Gibson L5...This one is a Korean made and although with superb neck and sound the finish is not quite the Japan "elitist" version...I changed the stock pu to classic 57 Gibson although fairly decent and added a Bigsby B6...At $900 + a further $300 for mods It is one of the best sounding guitar I have ever heard...and looks $5000...Hope this helps

MF Grimm - Crumb Snatchers

  • Jun. 18th, 2009 at 5:41 PM
[Gonzo talking over various Grimm samples]
Yo, check this out
All you fake ass, party ass niggaz out there
That keep biting my man's shit
We gonna keep it real for the 94
Monsta Island aight
All you bitch ass niggaz, get the fuck out of Monsta Island aight
Yo Grimm, set that shit off like this

[Grimm, Verse 1]
I can either help or kill like radiation
Imitate Kuwait, in the motherfucking train station
Mutilate like Charles Manson
I'm cuttin bitches and I'm givin 'em stitches like Marla Hanson
Come and test me from Brooklyn to Bahamas
Battle the best and digest like Jeffrey Dahmer
Mad motherfuckers murder military methods
Priest of death, pass my blessings with the Smith & Wesson
Punk ass rappers, I'm stickin up
Straight wicked(?) rush, terror stricken cause you're butt(?)
I hang with CM, Kurious George, and ??
In the streets I have a rep for pullin spirits out of bodies
I show no fear, I'm not giving in
So change your address, cause you're living in oblivion
Emperor of evil, impress my competition
'Till my last breath, the best destroy recognition
Death's the definition, rappers' fame is reduced
They're scared I'm loose, and now they wanna call a truce
They hate it, I made it, they waited
And hesitated, but now their brains invaded
Anger been in this(?), you're hearing this
You're fearing this, ass I'm tearin' this(?)
You get dissed, so you're pissed
Cause ass I kick, always get last licks
The money devil of ??, all I roll is 666
Musical mace, eyes puffy like a ??
Disgrace crews of two, and make 'em break up like dirt base(?)
I cause disasters, I am the master
Turning little bastards into fucking Casper
So put your name on a tombstone
Cause when you try to kill me, I refuse to die alone

[Chorus]
A lot of niggaz wanna be me, but they can't be ( but why?)
Because there's only one ??
Frontin like they all that, but they just bums
What they tryna snatch kid? (Crumbs)
Frontin like they all that, but they just bums
What they tryna snatch kid? (Crumbs)

[Verse 2]
Violence, plus intellectual analysis equal military thoughts
Fights with other thoughts is my favorite sport(?)
Quantities of entities enter me evilly
He who's dumb enough to battle me, not drastically, and has to be
In the world of fabrication, demonstrations of confrontations commence annihilation
Let's pretend we're both guns, and make this shit erratic
I'll be the revolver, you can play the automatic
Automatic flip scripts, revolver show loyalty
Each gun is die able, but only one's reliable
You shoot fast, but in the end you jam
Then I click back, and turn your brains into spam
Grimm is the man and I demand my recognition
Even if I have to blow your ass to spiritual submission
I heard somewhere niggaz is scared of revolution
Revolute against the Reaper, and get pulled from evolution
I was shot a few times, and I died, and ??
Now I got beyond life, and attack the supernatural
Seven shots fired, seven shots went in me
Grimm was Jesus Christ, and to the concrete cause the pinned me
A lot of hardcore niggaz, I just figure they're imposters
Rapper's war games, and Grimm's brain name is Joshua (?)
So if you want to battle then I gotta say
The only winning move against Grimm Reap is not to play

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
As I follow Apollo, gotta prophecy in music
So up the raising sun, and transform it into poetry
Stalking the shadows of the human mind
And leaving weary niggaz better fear me when they hear my eerie theories
On the rap scene, me you can't compare
Punks like to stare, but they wouldn't dare
I'm givin niggaz nightmares on the streets of Elm
Step into oblivion as you enter my realm
I turn "boom bap" into "boom bip"
My mind's on reverse shit, so you can call me Mxyzptlk
Quantum lethal universe is different time and places
Surrounded by an oasis of dead faces
Will I die in a peaceful way, or go all out like Carlito's Way?
Fuck it, gotta live Day By Day
Peace to my nigga by the name of J
Styles automatic, with skills of Eddie Futch
Stick shift rhymes, I burn 'em out like a clutch
Primitive rappers ass kick or they either(?) spark
Cause you're a dinosaur, sent to a Jurassic park
The Reaper's rude, drop your ass to your knees
If death was food, I'll be handing out free cheese
Sit back, relax, smoke some scama
Niggaz screamin battle, but they brain have no armor
En garde, grab the mic and take your fighting stances
Like they take chances, we can battle for advances
(Fuck this wheelchair) I'm in a wheelchair, but still makin money
Cause I got my murder buddies wearin hoodies, who get bloody
The rap Boba Fett, if you rhyme then I want ya
Mental bounty hunter, of hardcore fronters
Some sleep on the Reap, like I'm not nice
But I don't freestyle, cause my style cost a price
Tiny temptations of termination, no hesitation
Retaliation to all imitation, creations was making duplications of my innovations
So whatcha want niggaz? Bring it on (Bring it on)
I'll blow you out the sky like Captain Kirk do the motherfuckin Klingons
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Graze ya with a razor, watch ya jugular bust
Grimm is the one that flew the cuckoo's nest
"Fuck the world" is written on my chest

[Chorus]

[Grimm talking]
I represent Monsta Island (Ya don't stop)
I represent Monsta Island (Ya don't stop)
Big Vito's in the motherfuckin house
Punks in the motherfuckin house
Ya don't stop
Bring it on niggaz
East coast to West
Grimm Reaper is the best

Hangover hangs on at US cinemas

  • Jun. 17th, 2009 at 5:00 PM
The Hangover tells the story of a bachelor party gone comically awry

Las Vegas bachelor party movie The Hangover hung on to the top spot at the North American box office for a second weekend, early estimates show.

The film, which took $33.4m (£20.4m), narrowly beat animation Up - which took $30.5m (£18.7m) - into second place.

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, a remake of the 1974 subway hijacking thriller with Denzel Washington and John Travolta, debuted at three with $25m (£15.3m).

Eddie Murphy comedy Imagine That opened at number six with $5.7m (£3.5m).

US BOX OFFICE TOP FIVE

1.The Hangover - $33.4m

2.Up - $30.5m

3.The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 - $25m

4.Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian - $9.6m

5.Land of the Lost - $9.2m

Source: Hollywood.com

Ben Stiller comedy sequel Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian stayed at number four, taking $9.6m (£5.9m), while Will Ferrell's action adventure Land of the Lost fell from third to fifth with $5.6m (£3.4m).

Analyst Paul Dergarabedian, from box office tracker Hollywood.com, said total revenues for the weekend were $140m (£85.8m) - down 22% on the same weekend last year, when The Incredible Hulk led with a massive $55.4m (£33.9m).

It is the third weekend running that receipts have been down, despite a strong year for Hollywood.

Earlier in the year, box office takings were up 15% overall on 2008. The figure now stands at 11%.

"The growth rate for the summer box office is stalled - every week we're systematically dropping down," Mr Dergarabedian said.

"That doesn't mean things are terrible.

"It just means that, compared to last year, it was great weekend for The Hangover but not a great weekend for the industry."

Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music - Street Life

  • Jun. 14th, 2009 at 10:46 PM
Wish everybody would leave me alone -yeah
They're always calling on my telephone
When I pick it up there's no one there
So I walk outside just to take the air
Come on with me cruising down the street
Who knows what you'll see, who you might meet
This brave new world's not like yesterday -
It can take you higher than the milky way
Now I'm blinded I can't really see - yeah
No more bright lights confusing me - no
Don't ask me why I'm feeling blue
'Cause loving you is all I can do
Hey good-looking boys - gather around
The sidewalk papers gutter-press you down
All those lies can be so unkind,
They can make you feel like you're losing your mind
Street Life
Street Life
Street Life
What a Life
Back to nature boys - Vasser girls too
Watch what you say, or think, or do
Continental-style strasse girls might
But you know exactly if it's wrong or right
Education is an important key - yes
But the good life's never won by degrees - no
Pointless passing through Harvard or Yale
Only window shopping - it's strictly no sale
Week end starts Friday soon after eight
Your jet black magic helps you celebrate
You may be stranded if you stick around
- And that's really something...

Spacemen 3 - Revolution Lyrics
Well look out
Well I’m sick
I’m so sick
Of a lot
of people
Tryin’ to tell me
What I can and can’t
do
With my life
And I’m tired
I’m so
tired
Of a lot of people
In a lot of high
places
Don’t want you and me
To enjoy
ourselves
Well I’m through with people
Who can’t
get off their arse
To help themselves change this
government
And better this society
‘Cos it’s
shit
But hold on a secondI smell burning
And I
see a changeComin’
‘round the bend
And I suggest to
you
That it takes
Just five seconds
Just five
seconds
Of decision
To realise
That the time
Is
right
To start thinkin’ about

A
little…Revolution!

Vaya Con Dios - Heading For A Fall

  • Jun. 6th, 2009 at 5:46 PM
A turn of the key
And the door is pushed open, now
He walks into the room
But doesn't take off his coat
Kisses me softly
Without saying a word, now
There's that look in his eyes
That makes me feel the cold

When I try to find out
'Bout what's troubling his mind
He turns away and sighs
And says give me some time
Maybe things would get better
If I learned to be patient
What I wanted was love
Not an imitation

Chorus:
And I know it
We're heading for a fall
(For a fall,
We're heading for a fall)

We lie between sheets
And he stares at the ceiling, now
Me, I'm trying to sleep
But I'm trembling inside
If she's haunting his dreams
Then why don't he say it now?
Why stay if it's her that he wants in the end?

If he tried to explain I'd try to understand
Maybe I'd feel the same
I'm not sure of myself
We surrended so soon
In the arms of temptation, now
What I wanted was love
Not an imitation

Chorus
02 June 2009 - Experimental New York band Gang Gang Dance might have counted themselves lucky to release the critically acclaimed album Saint Dymphnajust months after their drummer survived a shooting.

The near-miss for Tim De Wit wasn’t their first brush with tragedy either; the band's vocalist Nathan Maddox was struck by lightning and died in 2002.

Unfortunately for them, though, there was even more bad fortune to come.

Just a day after kicking off their highest profile European tour ever – on Friday 13thno less – almost all the band’s equipment was destroyed in a fire at a club in Amsterdam.

But amazingly enough within a few weeks the band were playing in the US again using borrowed and newly bought instruments, and last night they finally made their return to the UK to play at London’s Dingwalls.

‘Phoenix Rising’

Before the gig frontwoman Liz Bougatsos told 6 Music they’ve tried to draw inspiration from all the troubles they’ve faced: “We saw it as a positive thing, with the phoenix rising from the flames.”

“It turned into something surreal, but it kind of opened our minds in lots of ways,” she explained. What’s more she said that the band’s first show after the fire, at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, was her favourite ever: “I didn’t even know how to use some of the pedals I borrowed from friends because I couldn’t purchase mine in time.

“That was a little bit nerve-racking but it created this resurgence and weird energy and it felt really free. It was so fun to play that show.”

Last night the band’s run of bad luck continued and they had technical difficulties with a synthesiser.

Bougatsos said it’s not been easy to replace everything: “A lot of our gear was very old, you could only buy certain pedals in Japan. I had a flute from Morocco from [Maddox] who passed away so that was a bit traumatic.”

Hotly Chipped

Gang Gang are friends of two of the biggest cult American bands to enjoy mainstream success this year in Animal Collective and TV on the Radio, and have earned big praise from a string of British bands like Hot Chip and Klaxons.

Last night Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor played with his latest side project, the improvisational quartet About, in support of the New Yorkers, and later played drums with them on one track.

“I’m a big fan of their music,” Taylor said. “I feel like Gang Gang Dance and Animal Collective have been going for a relatively long time and it’s nice that people are picking up on it. I don’t really know why that is.

“GGD made a really great record before this one and it didn’t get that much of a fanfare,” Taylor continued. “Some of the shows around that time were some of the best things I’ve ever seen.”

Since getting the best critical reception of their careers, Bougatsos said the band have already started work on the follow-up toSaint Dymphna, recording in Joshua Tree in California. She said the desert location, which has recently been used as a recording base by Joshe Homme and the Arctic Monkeys, suited them well: “I definitely want to move out there.“Being out in the desert really gave me a spark to bring back to the future shows, and I want to make it a regular thing to go there every winter to write.“I liked the grassroots aspect of it. If you were cooking you’d hear coyotes and there were salamanders and lizards. Being attached to the wild was cool for the recording.”On the subject of what to expect from the newest material, her response was suitably metaphorical: “It’s a little bit archaic. I think the structure of the songs are a bit arctic sounding.“The songs have a lot of different meanings, and I’m really going for this pop structure with the song writing.”Gang Plus ClanWhat’s more, whileSaint Dymphnasaw Gang Gang Dance indulge their love of British grime on the track Princes with vocals from Tinchy Stryder, their next target is Wu Tang Clan’s GZA.It’s a plan that’s been mooted since last year, but in the past few weeks Bougatsos and the band finally met with the hip hop legend for the first time.“I’ve sort of shied away from him every other time because he’s sort of a hero of the rap underground,” she admitted.“Wu Tang is a massive enterprise, and to me there’s no equivalent. I’m very much looking forward to working with GZA and I’m hoping to collaborate full force.”Rodrigo Davies

ABBA - Fernando

  • May. 30th, 2009 at 11:45 PM
¿Puedes escuchar Fernando?
me recuerda tiempo atrás
estrellas y una noche allá
en la lumbre azul Fernando
tarareabas tu canción
con ese suave guitarrear
yo podía escuchar
esos tambores con un sordo redoblar

Se acercaban más Fernando
y el momento que pasaba
parecía eternidad
y sentí temor Fernando
por la vida y juventud
nadie pensaba en morir
y no siento hoy vergüenza al
confesar que tuve
ganas de llorar

Algo había alrededor quizá
de claridad Fernando
que brillaba por nosotros dos
en protección Fernando
no pensábamos jamás perder
ni echar atrás
si tuviera que volverlo a hacer
lo haría ya Fernando
si tuviera que volverlo a hacer
lo haría ya Fernando

La vejez llegó Fernando
y con ella una paz
que hoy logramos disfrutar
se durmió el tambor Fernando
Pareciera que fue ayer
que lo vivimos tú y yo
y en tus ojos veo aún
Aquel orgullo que refleja tu valor.

Algo había alrededor quizá
de claridad Fernando
que brillaba por nosotros dos
en protección Fernando
no pensábamos jamás perder
ni echar atrás
si tuviera que volverlo a hacer
lo haría ya Fernando
si tuviera que volverlo a hacer
lo haría ya Fernando

Algo había alrededor quizá
de claridad Fernando
que brillaba por nosotros dos
en protección Fernando
no pensábamos jamás perder
ni echar atrás
si tuviera que volverlo a hacer
lo haría ya Fernando
si tuviera que volverlo a hacer
lo haría ya Fernando

Si tuviera que volverlo a hacer
lo haría ya Fernando

My teeth taste funny today...they seem more jagged than normal.
I've been told that I have been grinding them like the gears during my dream hours...
I wonder if it's just my thoughts fusing into one frequent dream...
one which parts with the night.
(There are frequent amongst the walking crawlers).
I saw them dragging the other day.
Scraping their knees and elbows against the bumpy pavement.
Blood tracks have been filling the streets.
Seems the high horse is taking them all home...
I can't leave myself out.
Why should we sleep today...
why should we awake tomorrow?
We can just pop back a few and drift though this pre-programmed flight.

Across all oceans...a windy, noisy trek...
this seems to be what I've needed.
The view used to be better...lands are growing into one.
We wanted it this way. We were brought up to grow into one.
I'm going to fly up soon and seek other lands. The soothing air of flight...
a bird's eye view into what I've always imagined life could be.
Will it be sought after?
It might just be useless writing and ideas that laziness will corrupt in the end.
Bones of dust need hardening. I think the prescription is found.

Sleep on...fly on.
In your mind, you can fly.

My teeth grin oddly today...
they seem to gleam more than normal.
Maybe it will be noticed.
(That's all we ever asked for. Grinning through it all......)

(In the corner the thinker thinks: I seem more jagged than normal.
I am the episode of constant wandering.
A nomad in my own surroundings...this hand produces the nerve.)

Walking dead.

Sir Alan fires latest Apprentice

  • May. 19th, 2009 at 9:01 PM

Mona talks about her Apprentice experience

Apprentice hopeful Mona Lewis said she was "ready to go" after becoming the latest candidate to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar on the BBC One reality show.

She was given the boot after her team lost a task to re-brand the seaside town of Margate.

But the 28-year-old former beauty queen said she was missing her six-year-old son and was desperate to return to him.

"I'd got to a point where I really could not go any more, it was really, really tough," she said.

Re-branding task

Wednesday night's episode saw Lewis' team choose to target the gay market in re-branding Margate, despite her objections. She thought targeting families would draw a broader audience.

Asked if Sir Alan made the right decision, Lewis said: "If I were to answer that question based on the task, then Sir Alan made the wrong decision, because I feel that Debra should have gone.

"But if it's on an individual basis, I think it was the right decision because I was ready to go."

In the boardroom, Sir Alan Sugar told Lewis he was firing her with regret, adding: "I don't see any creativity here and I have to start thinking about where you would slot into my organisation."

The Karachi-born senior business manager said she went into the competition hoping to bag the top job and make a better life for her son.

'Extra oomph'

However she added that if she had won the competition she would not have uprooted her son, Ryan, to move to London and would have chosen instead to disappoint Sir Alan.

"It's hard enough being in a country not knowing many people - once you've built a network of people, and then go to London and start again, it's not easy," she said.

Lewis said she would like Yasmina Siadatan to win, saying: "We're very similar but she's just got that extra oomph that I didn't have."
